Turn

Down

Veamos ejemplos.

1) A: So... Are you coming to the mountain with us next weekend?
B: Sorry. I'll have to turn down your invitation this time. I have to work next weekend.

2) A: Did you get that house you wanted?
         ¿Compraste esa casa que querías?
B: No... At first they accepted my offer, but then they decided to turn it down.
No...

3) A: Who are you taking to the prom?
B: Oh, I would really like to take Mary, but... I don't know.
No sé.
    A: Ask her!
        ¡Invitala!
B: What if she turns me down?
        ¿Y si me rechaza?

Hay muchísimos phrasal verbs con turn. ¿Conocen otros? Iremos viendo más en el futuro.
